• The snake

  Lorn is one of many Wilder who escaped her realm as it was being overtaken by demonic corruption through the use of rift walking, which is an ability gifted to her kind by an ancient being who had once driven demonic presence back into the Null, which is her realm's version of hell.
  
  As a human-resembling creature with the ability to shape-shift into a large, primal being fit for battle, she is a worthy adversary whose prowess is better left admired or judged from afar rather than tested. She by no means is interested in making friends, however, others of her profession might be perceived as useful or problematic obstacles who stand in her way.
  
  While she is a botanist, painter, and a tattoo artist by trade, she is first and foremost and always will be a thief of unparalleled caliber.

• The beast

  When her lover was found missing and his disappearance caused her to seek him out and travel through many dangerous rifts that also required her to return to her home realm to pass through, she learned very quickly how to be flawlessly stealthy and blend in with her surroundings. While she had previously been considered a shaman whose duty was to mend the world's wounds and close the rifts, she realized that she was a much better suited rogue.
  
  She transitioned quickly, and to survive, she became a thief in the night, or assassin for the right price. While she resides in each new realm only briefly, her method of survival isn't just successful -- it has caused her to flourish as an individual who must constantly learn new cultures as a part of her method. This one is sharper than any blade, and ten times more deadly.
  
  Her understanding of plants and their uses is beyond the level of genius. There is never a situation where she leaves home without vials, pouches, or rigged devices that are filled with plant-derived toxins that she conjured solely to aid her in moments where physical confrontations need to end early.
